Last night, the homies KLEEN MEDIA threw a "Welcome Back To Rockwood" party for me at my weekly Monday night residency in Toronto. It was my first night back after the Euro Tour. It's probably my favorite weekly party as the vibe, crowd & size are all just right. Tons of celebs have come thru as well, and last night we were graced with the presence of one of my favorite MC's, NAS! I guess my job is pretty DOOOO THISSSS!

Europe was AMAZINGAAAA!!!!! But I must say that I'm glad to be home from tour. Why?

1) Everyone here speaks ENGLISH!

2) Sleeping in my own bed, driving my own car etc....

3) I missed my fam & friends

4) HOME COOKED MEALS

5) Looking forward to getting back to my regular club spots!

Being away truly makes u apprerciate being home. Andddd soon enough, being home makes you appreciate life on the road lol. We'll be home for the next few weeks, but in August....WEST COAST HERE WE COME!!!!

Napoli, Rome, Paris, OH MY!

People, people, people!

To fully describe the past 3 days would take ALOT more than I have time to write, so you're getting the condensed version!

Napoli:

As I told u b4, the city is AWESOME! The hotel/resort we stayed at was AWESOME! The beach party...AWESOME!!!!! Imagine partying on a beach in the south of Italy to the sounds of a drunk ass DJ crew by the name of 4KORNERS! AND I lost my shirt! It gets no better :) The next day we slept til about 4pm, then headed to ROME. Pretty much teh only thing that sucked was the 5am pizza stand the basically served us dough with tomato paste & a small circle of cheese on top. WORST PIZZA EVERRRRR, but being hammered & hungry at 5am with no other options, i totally ate 2 slices lol. BIG SHOUTS to K*Blast, Andrew, DJ Carmela, the entire REAL SOUND PROJECT and everyone who we met in Napoli.

Rome:

So Friday afternoon we took the train to Rome & met up with our new homie Karima who took EXCELLENT care of us, despite the fact that she had a wedding to go to teh next day AND exams to study for. Kari, you're awesome! We saw the COLLOSSEUM, ate a great Italian meal, met up with some of her peeps at CAMPO DE FIORE , ate THE BEST ICE CREAM EVER and went to a few parties. NO we didn't end up playing in ROME due to some very VERY bad timing, but we'll definitely be back to DOOOO THISSSS next time we're back in Europe, which might be December as a few clubs have already made offers :) We ended up at a spot called NICE which was sickkkk!!!!! Big shouts to Black Solo, DJ Coco, Serge, Henry & the whole squad! And again, a GIGANTIC shout & thank you to Karima!

Paris:

Back again in Paris, France, but this time we had a lil more time to spend than our last visit. Rocked the house at GIBUS CLUB alongside resident DJ KISS and got a chance to hang out with our homie BIG JOURVIL, who is absolutely THE BEST! Love that guy (no homo). Also met his roomate "Jeweler's Son" who is pretty awesome himself lol. BIG SHOUTS all around & a very special shout goes to our new homie JENN & her sour cousin Caroline who we met at the club & were soooo glad to hear they were from Montreal :) Jenn spoke perfect english which was SOOOO refreshing after almost a week of playing CHARADES with people across Europe, trying to make them understand what I'm saying (Hands...tired... :p)

And that brings us today. We spent site seeing in Paris. Saw the EIFFEL TOWER again, but this time we also strolled up the CHAMPS ELYSEES, where i bought the absolute ILLEST Air Jordan Spizikes EVERRRR! (Thank you Nike Paris). We say ARC DE TRIOMPHE and the CATHEDRAL DE NOTRE DAME. Basically the BIG 3 of French monuments. (DAMN my blog is educational lol). After that, we hit the tracks back ro Brussels where we are now.

About to get ready to go out & party on our last night off here in Europe, as tomorrow we make our return to CARRE in Antwerp.

Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

So Florence....well, we had some issues. BEAUTIFUL city, AWESOME club....and that's about it. Long story short, the promoter didn't take charge when he needed to, the drunker Ying Yang Twin decide he & his DJ would play basically ALL teh hit somgs out right now after they finished performing, and I was left doing a 35 minute set at the END of the night after lots of people had already left. WEAKSAUCE!!!! Needless to say, I gave the promoter a sharp verbal lashing & he apologized a million times to no avail. *Note...you DO NOT want to be on my bad side. I remained professional, but made him understand just how badly he fucked up. He wants to book us again but....we'll see.

Conversely, we arrived in NAPOLI today & it is AMAZINGGGGAAAAA!!!! Right on the coast of the Mediteranean Sea. Our new homie K BLAST has been taking excellent care of us and i'm just here doing a quick blog b4 we hit the club. BEACH PARTY!!!!! That's the flyer up above.

VIVA ITALIA

Soooo we head to ITALY in a few hours. Did I mention that we're both super stoked? We're flying into Rome, then taking the Eurorail to Florence where we'll be eating pasta & performing alongside the Ying Yang Twins. HAHHHHHH!!!! That's the flyer up above. Good Morn-eee-in!

Bonjour once again from Brussels, Belgium.

It's 12:52pm here (6:52am Toronto time) and I'm wide awake. Not sure if it's because I'm FINALLY adjusted to the 6 hour time difference, or b/c I'm so used to getting up early at home regardless. Shorts (Errol) on the other hand is snoring down the place as we speak. Btw, the pic above was taken on our way back from DA SHAKE on Saturday night....a typical scene after the club. People jam from 10pm to 6am-ish here, sometimes later. NUTZO!

I figured I'd drop in a quick post to stay in touch & let u know what's up, as I promised I would do. This is proof that when on tour, I have wayyyy more spare time to do this kind of thing. However, I have also realized that it doesn't have to take THAT much time, and I can still figure out a way to post regularly when I get back. I'll do my best :) BIG SHOUTS to all of you who'd sent me txt msgs letting me know that you've been reading along & enjoying living vicariously through us on this journey. Believe me when I say we're just getting started.

We hit Italy for the 1st time tomorrow and don't quite know what ti expect. The promoters over there are making a pretty big deal about us coming & keep writing me on MYSPACE telling us how crazy it's gonna be. I'm pretty STOKED about it and can't wait to get there. Basketball in Italy is bigger than it's ever been, and with us being the Official DJs of the Toronto Raptors, compounded by italian baller Andrea Bargnani being on our team, the hype leading up to these shows is pretty BIG.

And speaking of basketball, and BIG, here's a clip of BIG SHAQ aka SHAQ FU aka Shaquille O'Neal freestyling recently at a New York nightclub about.....well...see for yourself. HOWEVZ, keep in mind Shaq said himself afterwards that it was all in fun, nothing serious, and that people shouldn't make it a bigger deal than it is.

WOWWWWW :) And as a side note, for those who might not remember Shaq actually trying to have a legitimate career in music, here's how he got the name SHAQ-FU! (Remember the Fu-Shnickens?...peep the last verse)

SHAKE DAT AZZZZZZ

Sooooo, last night we dropped the 4K bomb on a spot called DA SHAKE in Belgium alongside our good homie DJ PSAR. We also had our new homie FLAV with us, and the party was truly dope! Took it easy on the drinking this time & just went hard on the RED BULL (big shouts to Kenny Mac & Bobby back at Red Bull Canada...hollaatchaboysssss). About 15 Red Bulls later (collectively.....not all by myself :p) we destroyed the party, showing them the true meaning of DOOOO THISSSS!

After another long drive back to the hotel, Shorts and I DEMOLISHED the hotel breakfast buffet, then proceeded to sleep for about 10 hours straight. I think we're adjusted to teh time here now....almost...mehhh not even close! But we're still working on it.

What's next? Welll, unfortunately our show in Milan, Italy that was scheduled for 2nite was cancelled due to the club being shut down (that'll do it...). The timing on that is pretty weaksauce for us, but what can u do? Out of our hands. Soooooo instead we're going to hit up CARRE here in Belgum, which is the club that we'll be spinning at next Sunday July 13. Our homie RAYER, the promoter, heard about our Milan situation and invited us to come down & party, everything on him. SCORE! So i'll try not to end up with my head in the toilet 2night, but no promises lol.

Monday we also have the day off, and Tuesday we head to Florence to do a show with the YING YANG TWINS which should be a SHIT SHOW SUPREME! PS, the URBAN DICTIONARY RULESSS!!!!

I took lots of vids last night but the net connection here is slow and it's taking wayyyyyy too long to upload. SO NOT doooo thissss. I'll try again another time, perhaps when I have a lil more patience :)

Bonjour from Belgium!

Sooo we've arrived in Europe for our 3rd Euro Tour in 3 years. Life is goooood! 1st stop, BRUSSELS, BELGIUM! We met up with the homie DJ PSAR and immediately went for authentic BELGIAN WAFFLES!!!! We do it every time we come here...tradition lol. After that, we chilled out a bit til the casino open (at which we are members lol) and had some steak & belgian (don't call them french) fries.

Skip ahead skip ahead, yadda yadda yadda, we took a looooooong nap to try to adust to the 6 hour time difference, then headed down to FUN RADIO where we did an interview & spun a set to over 250,000 listeners across Belgium. Wow!

From there, we headed straight to the club. It was a private ALL WHITE party (noo...not all white people lol, white clothing!) It was DOPE!!!!!!! Tore it up, drank wayyyy too much Rum & Coke, smoked a lil sumthin sunthin, skip ahead, skip ahead, i made it back to the hotel just in time to stick my head in the toilet & enjoy those drinks again, but in reverse. Sexy ;)

Tonight, we're doing another show in Belgium, this time alongside our homie DJ PSAR. I promise I'll take it easy...er 2nite :)

BTW, the statue of the lil dude peeing is our good homie MENNEKEN PIS, the symbol of Belgium. Peep the link to read bout the legend of young pee pee boy! Quite intriguing, and definitely makes for some....interesting souvenirs :)

HERE WE GO AGAIN!

As some of you may know, we're leaving on a jet plane once again, about to embark on yet another European tour. EURO TOUR 3 actually, although I feel the need to come up with a better name than that. Perhaps i'll give it some thought on the 7 HOUR PLANE RIDE to Brussels :S

This time we'll be doing 4 shows across Belgium, 1 in France (Paris of course), and 4 across Italy. SOooooOOoooooo excited!

As long as I have access to the internet, i will be blogging at least every other day, letting u know what we've seen, done & what trouble we're getting into. Expect tons of pics & even some short video clips. YAYERRRR!!!!
