Soooo we head to ITALY in a few hours. Did I mention that we're both super stoked? We're flying into Rome, then taking the Eurorail to Florence where we'll be eating pasta & performing alongside the Ying Yang Twins. HAHHHHHH!!!! That's the flyer up above. (Note that is says we're the Official "M" BA Toronto Raptors DJs lol). I absolutely PROMISE to get some video of this show!
It's 12:52pm here (6:52am Toronto time) and I'm wide awake. Not sure if it's because I'm FINALLY adjusted to the 6 hour time difference, or b/c I'm so used to getting up early at home regardless. Shorts (Errol) on the other hand is snoring down the place as we speak. Btw, the pic above was taken on our way back from DA SHAKE on Saturday night....a typical scene after the club. People jam from 10pm to 6am-ish here, sometimes later. NUTZO!
I figured I'd drop in a quick post to stay in touch & let u know what's up, as I promised I would do. This is proof that when on tour, I have wayyyy more spare time to do this kind of thing. However, I have also realized that it doesn't have to take THAT much time, and I can still figure out a way to post regularly when I get back. I'll do my best :) BIG SHOUTS to all of you who'd sent me txt msgs letting me know that you've been reading along & enjoying living vicariously through us on this journey. Believe me when I say we're just getting started.
We hit Italy for the 1st time tomorrow and don't quite know what ti expect. The promoters over there are making a pretty big deal about us coming & keep writing me on MYSPACE telling us how crazy it's gonna be. I'm pretty STOKED about it and can't wait to get there. Basketball in Italy is bigger than it's ever been, and with us being the Official DJs of the Toronto Raptors, compounded by italian baller Andrea Bargnani being on our team, the hype leading up to these shows is pretty BIG.
And speaking of basketball, and BIG, here's a clip of BIG SHAQ aka SHAQ FU aka Shaquille O'Neal freestyling recently at a New York nightclub about.....well...see for yourself. HOWEVZ, keep in mind Shaq said himself afterwards that it was all in fun, nothing serious, and that people shouldn't make it a bigger deal than it is.

WOWWWWW :) And as a side note, for those who might not remember Shaq actually trying to have a legitimate career in music, here's how he got the name SHAQ-FU! (Remember the Fu-Shnickens?...peep the last verse)
Sooooo, last night we dropped the 4K bomb on a spot called DA SHAKE in Belgium alongside our good homie DJ PSAR. We also had our new homie FLAV with us, and the party was truly dope! Took it easy on the drinking this time & just went hard on the RED BULL (big shouts to Kenny Mac & Bobby back at Red Bull Canada...hollaatchaboysssss). About 15 Red Bulls later (collectively.....not all by myself :p) we destroyed the party, showing them the true meaning of DOOOO THISSSS!
After another long drive back to the hotel, Shorts and I DEMOLISHED the hotel breakfast buffet, then proceeded to sleep for about 10 hours straight. I think we're adjusted to teh time here now....almost...mehhh not even close! But we're still working on it.
What's next? Welll, unfortunately our show in Milan, Italy that was scheduled for 2nite was cancelled due to the club being shut down (that'll do it...). The timing on that is pretty weaksauce for us, but what can u do? Out of our hands. Soooooo instead we're going to hit up CARRE here in Belgum, which is the club that we'll be spinning at next Sunday July 13. Our homie RAYER, the promoter, heard about our Milan situation and invited us to come down & party, everything on him. SCORE! So i'll try not to end up with my head in the toilet 2night, but no promises lol.
I took lots of vids last night but the net connection here is slow and it's taking wayyyyyy too long to upload. SO NOT doooo thissss. I'll try again another time, perhaps when I have a lil more patience :)
Sooo we've arrived in Europe for our 3rd Euro Tour in 3 years. Life is goooood! 1st stop, BRUSSELS, BELGIUM! We met up with the homie DJ PSAR and immediately went for authentic BELGIAN WAFFLES!!!! We do it every time we come here...tradition lol. After that, we chilled out a bit til the casino open (at which we are members lol) and had some steak & belgian (don't call them french) fries.
Skip ahead skip ahead, yadda yadda yadda, we took a looooooong nap to try to adust to the 6 hour time difference, then headed down to FUN RADIO where we did an interview & spun a set to over 250,000 listeners across Belgium. Wow!
From there, we headed straight to the club. It was a private ALL WHITE party (noo...not all white people lol, white clothing!) It was DOPE!!!!!!! Tore it up, drank wayyyy too much Rum & Coke, smoked a lil sumthin sunthin, skip ahead, skip ahead, i made it back to the hotel just in time to stick my head in the toilet & enjoy those drinks again, but in reverse. Sexy ;)
Tonight, we're doing another show in Belgium, this time alongside our homie DJ PSAR. I promise I'll take it easy...er 2nite :)
BTW, the statue of the lil dude peeing is our good homie MENNEKEN PIS, the symbol of Belgium. Peep the link to read bout the legend of young pee pee boy! Quite intriguing, and definitely makes for some....interesting souvenirs :)
As some of you may know, we're leaving on a jet plane once again, about to embark on yet another European tour. EURO TOUR 3 actually, although I feel the need to come up with a better name than that. Perhaps i'll give it some thought on the 7 HOUR PLANE RIDE to Brussels :S
This time we'll be doing 4 shows across Belgium, 1 in France (Paris of course), and 4 across Italy. SOooooOOoooooo excited!
As long as I have access to the internet, i will be blogging at least every other day, letting u know what we've seen, done & what trouble we're getting into. Expect tons of pics & even some short video clips. YAYERRRR!!!!

A certain member of the group OASIS didn't like the fact that Jay would be performing at this "rock" concert, but I think it's safe to say he MORE than proved that he belonged. He even helped their record sales a touch by mockingly opening his set with their hit WONDERWALL Can't be stopped! Good music is just GOOD MUSIC and BLACK music knows no boundaries! Checkitout!
After the cult like success of our 1st collabo, the self titled FACTS & FIGURES, we've decided to drop a follow-up mix called ALL OVER YOUR FACE! For those who don't know, FACTS & FIGURES is the electro alias of yours truly, 4KORNERS, & our homies the FACTION SOUND CREW (DJ Arems & DJ Tanner) from Vancouver.
