Memorable Moments

Greetings y'all,

I'm writing from the nation's capital aka Cap City aka Ottawa, Ontario. It's Canada Day weekend so you know we had to stop in and help celebrate the absolute AWESOMENESS of our country. (There is no charge for awesomeness or attractiveness lol...Kung Fu Panda reference, for those who don't know :p) OF COURSE we're in Ottawa on Canada Day Long Weekend, c'maaaaan!

Anyway, we had an early flight so we basically didn't sleep last night after Body English (which was pretty damn dope last night btw). Our homie KID SL picked us up from the airport & dropped us at our hotel, where we ordered a SWEET room service breakfast feast, then passed out for a few hours. Thennnn we woke up and met with the homie DYLAN D to do a lil shopping (Big shouts to the hottest spot in Ottawa, NORMAL and our homie there IGOR aka IGGY SMALLS). We then got hipped to a spot where they sell $1 hot dogs!!!! 2 shirts, 1 pair of kicks & 10 hot dogs later, we're now back at the hotel chillin. Might check our dude ILLO a lil later for dinner, then we're gonna DOOO THISS at our Ottawa residency HELSINKI LOUNGE & DISCO!

Back in the Dot 2morrow. Here's where we'll be the rest of this long weekend:

- Saturday - The Guvernment (Orange Room)

- Sunday - Century Room

- Monday - ELITE BOAT CRUISE 5

- Wednesday - Atelier

And Thursday, we leave for EURO TOUR 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8 shows across Belgium, Italy & France! Awesomeness!

We're truly grateful for everything that we've been blessed with. The memorable moments just keep coming!

Speaking of memorable moments, peep this video that the homie DYLAN D put me on to. Picture this: JAMES BROWN, MICHAEL JACKSON & PRINCE on the same stage. MEMORABLE!!!! P.S. Prince is soooo girly, but SUCH a GANGSTER!!!! So dope!

SKIDOOOOOSHHHH!!!!

So my daughter's on summer vacation as of this week, and I'm off on tour to Europe next week, so I'm doing what they call "Spending QUALITY time." Really, we're just hanging out liek we usually do, except she's with me all day errrday instead of just sometimes.

Took her to see KING FU PANDA today. I fell asleep (like I often do at movie theatres....dark & cozy, can't help it :p) From what I did see, it was a legendary tale of a legendary warrior, who's skills were the stuff of LEGEND!

She enjoyed it & i got a well needed nap.

WOWWWWW I SUCK AT BLOGGING!!!!!

YESSSSSS i knowwwww i knowwww, I said I would blog regularly and here I am a full month & change later. Booourns! That said, this is going to be a SUPER CONDENSED update of what we've been up to over the past 30-odd days.

Here's it goes:

- MONTREAL: played @ Orchid, got some REALLY good shopping done, hung out with some good homies and discovered wine & cheese.

- CALGARY: NBA 3on3 got rained out (but we still get paid..score!), met a new member of the extended DJ fam DJ SPRYTE, played OPUS, drank a full bottle of champagne (and various other beverages...damn i was thirsty lol), and lost my shirt AGAIN!

TORONTO: Played prob the BEST BOAT CRUISE EVER, residencies all going great, won the Stylus award for CANADIAN CLUB DJ of the YEAR, packed up & headed West!

WHISTLER: Did the drive from Vancouver to Whistler and back twice in order to play 2 parties, got hammered, met a Playboy Bunny, saw a bear and watched DJ Tanner break furniture in blind drunken musical excitement (fuk yo couch!).

VANCOUVER: Did a lil shopping, alot of eating, NBA 3on3, played PLUSH, appeared on THE BEAT radio, hung out with our doods FACTION SOUND CREW & our overseas homie DJ PSAR from Belgium, enjoyed some well deserved down time!

CALGARY...again: Enjoyed some Alberta Beef, destroyed OPUS again, invented Purple Crush, kept my shirt on this time :)

EDMONTON: Played back to back nights at EMPIRE BALLROOM, appeared on THE BOUNCE radio, NBA 3on3, hung out at West Edmonton Mall...briefly, did some shopping at FOOSH, went to a Filipino BBQ, bumped into the homies ILLO, JR FLO & FIRE KID STEENIE, flew home just in time to get to the MUCHMUSIC AWARDS AFTERPARTY 20 mins late :)

TORONTO: Played the MMVA Afterparty @ ULTRA SUPPER CLUB alongside STEVE AOKI (Brody Jenner is a big T.I. fan), Shorts hosted at Century Room alongside the homie DJ UNDERCOVER, slept in my own bed :)

LONDON (Ontario lol): NBA 3on3 2 days in a row, with drives to T.O. in between...sooo tiring...Shorts got a speeding ticket (cop was a PRICk...surprise surprise)

AND....that pretty much brings us up to date.

But enough talk...will post some pics real soon. Maybe today or tomorrow...promise...pinky swear :)

Crepes & Crap

So I have good news and bad news.

Good News:
I think I found a way to write blogs directly from my blackberry, which means I can stay on top of this a lil better when I'm on the go (which is pretty much alllllways)

Bad News:
I'm currently writing this blog via Blackberry from the airport in Montreal while waiting for the next flight home, because we missed our scheduled flight. Suckkkyyyy!

To fill u in, we played at ORCHID Nightclub in Montreal last night. Its the club's 6 Year Anniversary weekend, and as such, we were part of the celebration's line-up which also includes our homie DJ Wristpect 2nite, Kid Capri 2morrow & Rihanna hosting the party on Tuesday. Good shyt!
We also got a chance to hang out with our doood DJ Psychology as well as some other friends, get drunk at lunch and of course go SHOPPING!

Soon time we'll be headed back to T.O to spin our 1st Live-To-Air episode on GUV RADI0. We're now on every Saturday night on Z103.5 FM broadcast from The Guvernment Entertainment Complex from 10pm-1am. Our slot is 10-11pm. Sooo PUMPED! The Beat Goes On

OooooooK...so the Raptors lost & are out of the playoffs. It was a slightly disappointing season compared to last year, as we had hope to move forward & not take any steps back. But hey, it's the NBA, it's a tough road & now the organization has to re-evaluate & perhaps makes some moves to improve the team's chances for next year.

BIG THANKS to the guys for playing hard, to the entire Raps organization and of course to the fans for all their support. This was our 3rd year as OFFICIAL DJS of the TORONTO RAPTORS, and it's still a dream job. Looking fwd to next season!

This is a pile of HORSE SHIT!!!!

SOOOOO.... as I predicted, MY Raptors we're victorious on Thursday night as we CRUSHED the magic in front of our home town fans. 20,000 strong wearing read & making it a very hostile environment for Dwight Howard (especially) and the rest of his team.

BUT THEN.... we go & let the following game on Saturday slip away. How wack is that???? Now our backs are up against the wall & we need 3 wins in a row to stay alive. Possible, but will be tough. 

I'm gonna go out on a limb & once again predict a Raptors victory this coming Monday in Orlando! LET'S GOOOOO RAPTORSSS!!!!!!

P.S. Here's my boy Short Sirkit pumping the crowd up with the mascot while I'm spinning the tunes!
