Hope you all had an amazing weekend! We definitely did. Raptors games, LUXY, the All Hit Power Mix on Z1035, an INSANE party in Gatineau Quebec w/ the homie DJ KID SL which was so dope that we almost missed our flight home lol, and a chillll Sunday afternoon with the ones who matter....YUP, was a great weekend!

What's upppp people!

I'm writing you from the crib in Van City! Yessss I said "The Crib" I lucked out & got my own condo to stay at out here...BIG shouts to the homie DJ TANNER for the link...score! Aaaanyway, it's the 2010 Winter Olympic games & I'm out here doing a series of shows at the MOLSON CANADIAN HOCKEY HOUSE! It's been absolutely dope sauce thus far. I've performed with Bryan Adams & Barenaked Ladies with more Canadian legends to come! An amazing experience! I'm truly blessed!

Vancouver is buzzzzzing right now. So many people on the streets, everyone in a great mood and 99% of them...well...us lol.. are wearing Canadian Olympic gear! I thought I was gonna look like a Captain Canuck stepping out w/ my Canada toque, hoody, scarf & gloves, but I blend right in :) Needless to say, I'm having a blast! Unfortunately I'm out here solo as my partner Short Sirkit has other gigs to handle including a show at THE WHISKEY in Calgary 2nite w/ the homie JOE GHOST, a show in Grande Prairie Alberta on Friday and of course the TORONTO RAPTORS games this week. Thankfully the Raptors gave me a couple games off so that I could be out here for the Olympics.

My Farewell

I'm writing this simply to clear the air about my decision to leave Mashup Mondays at Rockwood, and I'll try to keep it short & sweet.

This was my favorite weekly party & truly one of, if not THE dopest residency I've ever had. The team & staff are awesome, I've met some amazing people there & I've had the opportunity to bring my DJ friends from all over to spin & enjoy it with me. What I loved most about this night was that it was different than any other club night in the city. I was able to play my rarest, most enjoyable mix of music to a diverse crowd who enjoyed partying to a vibe that they couldn't get just anywhere. It was the alternative to the average TOP 40/Urban club night that happens in every club, every weekend in every city....and I loved it for that!

Unfortunately I guess it was too good to last, & after spinning Mondays for over 2 1/2 years, it seems to have become just another regular club night, to me at least. I play tons of regular club nights all over the world, and they're cool, but Mondays were my "different" night where I didn't have to play all the latest hits all the time to make people happy. I feel like it's changed over time, as most things do, and for this reason it's simply not the same for me anymore.

I'm thankful for having had the opportunity to play this night for the time that I did, as it was enjoyable, fulfilling, and it definitely helped me grow as a DJ. It's been my pleasure to introduce newer & older music to ears that may not have heard it otherwise. And I'm proud to have been a part of the award winning team who built this legendary night from the ground up. We set out to accomplish something, and we did it!

I wish the team, and the staff nothing but the best for the future of Mashup Mondays at Rockwood. I'm sad to be walking away, and I will definitely miss it, but I feel that it's time for me to move on.

Hope that clears it up. No hard feelings whatsoever, and if anything I've said here or prior seems offensive, know that it was not my intention. Simply saying what I feel, and those who know me know that's just who I am.

As you may know I just got back from my most recent European Tour on which I rocked shows in Oporto Portugal, Brussels Belgium, Napoli Italy and ended it all off in Paris France! How was it? DOPE SAUCE!!!!! Despite the fact that I did it solo (sans Short Sirkit on) it was a really great tour!

Just before I left however, I recorded a NEW MIX for the homie DJ SNAKE's podcast in Paris. He's one of the brightest rising stars on the scene, tearing up Europe & his production is starting to make noise worldwide. He's a part of our Int'l DJ Team "THE FEDS" so u know I gotta big him up! Portugal...WOW!!!!

So I took my 1st trip to Portugal yesterday, and played at the Azurara Beach Party , which they tell me is the biggest beach party in Europe. All I can say is....WOW!!!!! AMAZINGGGAAAA!!!! Such a huge event, excellent production & soooo many people! Approx 35,000 peeps to be exact! Not bad for my 1st ever gig in Portugal lol.

BIG shouts to DJ Overule, MC Virgul, DJ Walgee, DJ Branco P, all the organizers & of course the fans who came out & partied from afternoon straight thru to this morning! I admit, I tapped out at about 5am lol. Still jetlagged. Portugal, I'll definitely be back!!!!

I flew back to my Euro base, Brussels, today & I'm chillin out with the homie DJ PSAR. Tomorrow I'll be doing another mix for the radio show BRAND NEW w/ the homies Vinz, Emilliot & Oneted. Tuesday I'm spinning at CRYSTAL LOUNGE w/ PSAR & guess what? The homie JAYCEEOH will be hanging out too! This sounds like trouble lol. Musical minds meeting...watch out!

Wed I fly to Italy to do a beach party in NAPOLI w/ my dude DJ K BLAST! Looking fwd to it, last summer it was AWESOMENESS!!!! That's the flyer above.

A true pioneer, inspiration & all around great guy. I never had the pleasure of meeting him personally but I've seen him play a few times & we have tons of mutual friends. A huge loss to our profession & to his friends & family, stay up. It's hard to see it now I'm sure, but we all know everything happens for a reason & he's in a better place now. Rest in peace Adam Goldstein aka DJ AM!

Let me preface this by saying TWITTER has officially taken my attention away from blogging. It's very similar, but i can do it quickly & easily from my Blackberry. Plus, everyone seems to be addicted to it these days, myself included, so it's been a good tool to get my thoughts out. This one i must admit I'm hitting u up a lil late on, but that's b/c I haven't been blogging. Nevertheless, I'm sure most of you haven't heard of this band yet anyway SO! Allow me to introduce my latest musical obsession....
CHESTER FRENCH!

Long story short, D.A. Wallach & Max Drummey, collectively known as Chester French, are 2 Harvard graduates who make unique rock / pop music. So unique that Jermaine Dupri & Kanye West both tried to get at them...but they eventually signed with Pharrell Williams & Chad Hugo's label STAR TRAK. They're album LOVE THE FUTURE actually dropped yesterday, but they've had tracks bubbling all over the internet for months. They even put out a mixtape w/ the homie Clinton Sparks 2 weeks ago to promote the album with guest appearances by Pharrell, Diddy, Kardinal Offishall, Lady Gaga, Wale, Clipse, Bun B and the list goes on.

Just finished listening to the album front to back, and here's my synopsis (as per my Twitter tweets lol).

Chester French - Love The Future...quite possibly the most unique album I've heard since The Love Below. So musical, so strange, SO DOPE! N.E.R.D. influence is clear, but still a style all their own. If The Beatles were a new band in 2009, they might sound something like this!

But enough rambling / gushing. Pharrell says it's GENIUS...I say it's HAWT SAUCE...but as always, I encourage you to Judge for yourself.

Wuzzuppp party people,

Last week I told u we were heading to Calgary to smash down OPUS on 8th with the homies DJ BABY YU & DJ ANTHEM. Mission accomplished! RIDICULOUSSSNESSSS!!!!

We also did the homie CHRIS BOSH's birthday party the following night in Toronto...MADNESSSS!!!!

This past week has been a fairly regular one for your boy. 4 Clubs, 3 Raptors games, very little rest. Was even fighting off a lil cold/flu type deal which I've almost completely conquered thank u very much!

Anniversary Weekend!!!!

SO!

It's seems we've become the Anniversary Celebration DJ's this weekend. Last night we did it up in Toronto at REIGN Nightclub for the club's 1 year shindig, and tonight we're in Calgary doing the same at OPUS! Super stoked about 2nite b/c not only are we spinning with one of our favorite DJs, OPUS resident DJ ANTHEM, butttt we're also doing it up with the homie BABY YU from T.O by way of ATL. We used to spin together every Saturday at The Docks in Toronto yearsssssss ago, but I can't remember the last time we've worked together...prob not since then. Gonna be dope!

What is NOT dope is the fact that there is an impending 15-20cm snowstorm on it's way to Calgary...grrrreatttttt! :P Regardless, we're gonna do it up BIG 2nite! Talib Kweli is in town too, so we're gonna go check him then hit the club. Cal-Cun Shyt Show part....i don't even know...lost count lol.

I know i suck at my blog frequency, but this has been RIDICULOUSSSAAAAA!!!! Almost a month? Damn. Ummm...my bad :)

Back in effect, been so busy but what else is new? Where have we been? Allllll overrrrr!!!! After our most recent European tour, we flew back to Toronto and literally hit the ground running. Straight from the airport to the ACC to spin the Raptors vs. Heat game, then to Reign Nightclub and we haven't stopped since. Been doing tons of shows across the GTA and are about to hit the road for some Canadian tour dates in Calgary, Whistler, Vancouver & Winnipeg over the next couple weeks. And of course we've been spinning the Raptors games..keeping hope alive lol. DAMMIT!!! The team is doing so terrible this year....grrrrr

Once again we're back in our home away from home, Brussels Belgium! Last night we went to our homies' DJ PSAR & DJ SEPTIK's alll reggae/soca party called SLOWBOUNCE! It was jam packulous ramulous couldn't move sardine can hotter than a monkey's ass in that bitch! But we had lots of fun :)

2nite our tour REALLY starts with DA REAL DEAL party alongside the whole MP FAMILY (Psar, Septik, DJ Man, Dave Jame and the rest) and it's our homegirl Marie-France's birthday party. Gonna be nutzoooo!

Tomorrow we're at LE SOFFA in Nancy France, Sunday we're at NETWORK in Lille France, Tuesday we're at JAMROCK in Amsterdam w/ the homie WAXFIEND, Wednesday we hit up BLOW back here in Brussels, and Thursday BOUNCEFX in Prague!

In between we're doing interviews and guest sets on a few radio shows. Will get the recordings if I can and post them on the podcast page 4KRADiO.com

Soooooo yeahhh...we're headed back to Europe today on yet another EXCELLENT EUROPEAN ADVENTURE! This time we'll be stopping off in Belgium (of course...our home away from home aka the centre of Europe, and the home of our dude DJ PSAR) as well as 2 cities in France (Nancy & Lille), Amsterdam in Holland and Prague in the Czech Republic (super stoked about Prague...been there, never played there).

I'm gonna try to blog more and be easy on the Blackberry...in December my phone bill was hell ridiculiiiii! BUt regardless, you'll see tons of pics when I get back! We're gone til Mar 6 so don't miss us too much! Although I'll def miss all of you...some more than others....u know who u are ;)

We all know that I suck at frequently blogging, so let's not even bother bringing it up. It is what it is. Consider this a "Catch Up" post :)

Soooo it's been yet another busy week. Played some tunes, drank some liquids, yadda yadda yadda lol. TRYST was dope last week as I spun along side the homie JED*I for the 1st time in ages. The week before we did a show at CHEVAL with our dude DJ UNDERCOVER which is always fun. We hit up OPUS in Calgary this past Sunday and I lost my shirt again lol, POP CHAMPAGNE! Ohhh the life. Strange but true!

This weekend is ram jam with events. Last night we played the Raptors/Cavs game (Shawn Marion Raptors debut!) then we spun a fashion show & afterparty at Reign. Coming up is as follows:

Hey all,

Sooooo most blogs are probably talking about the Grammys today, and rightfully so. Some big ISH went down! Howevz, I'm pretty much always on a different page than most, so today I'm gonna share a recent experience of mine with you.

I've always been one to take care of myself. I try to eat healthy, don't smoke...much (except when in Vancouver or Amsterdam lol), stay well groomed and I'm about to join yet another gym (and I'm gonna stick with it this time...for realzzzz!). I take good care of my hands, aka my money makers, with fairly regular manicures, but I've never had a pedicure...until now.

A special spank you goes out to my awesome friend Annie who not only convinced me, but also took me to the spot. People, I gave it a try and I gotta say it...I'M HOOKED!!!! Once a month from now on! Was so dope and soooo NOT girly! The experience was super relaxing (they even had massage chairs) and my feet have never felt so good! It's like stepping into a fresh new pair of Jordans...but with a lil asian lady rubbing between your toes!

Fellas, don't be scurred. Pedicures receive the Official Kap'n Kirk Stamp of Approval! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

*WARNING: It becomes girly when u accept the offer of nail polish! Even if it's clear...DECLINE like I did and you're all good!

GREAT NEWS!!!!

I got my wireless internet stick working (thx to Sharif @ Rogers tech support....good looking out Sharif!) and now I'm officially connected anywhere in Canada! SCORE!

Secondly, on our last European tour we did an interview for a clubbing magazine in France called GOING OUT MAGAZINE Welllll the issue is out now & they put a pic of us on the cover :) Ok, so it's a little pic, but dude seriously...it's one thing to reach for the stars, but it's a totally awesome feeling when you actually get to taste the fruits of your labor. Feeling pretty proud of us right now...wow. They've featured interviews with cats like David Guetta, Moby, Justice, Satoshii Tomie, Laidback Luke, Carl Cox, Armin Van Buuren...and the list goes on. WELL RESPECTED names on the international club circuit. And now 4KORNERS. YAY US!

It's actually a story on how electronic music has been fused into alot of R&B / Hip Hop over the last few years, citing artists like Wil.i.am, Kanye West, Pharrell etc. as catalysts and they asked our opinion on the subject. DOPE!

Aaaaaanyway, the mag is distributed all over France & Belgium, so clearly most of you won't see it around. BUT, thx to the wonderful world of tech, it's online now! Like to read it? Here it go!

Hey people,

Just stopping in to say wuddup and let u know that I'm alive and well. As recently bought the Rogers Mobile Internet Stick, but am having trouble getting it to work with my Mac laptops (PC is so 2005 lol)...then again, I'm having issues so maybe I'm wrong :p Regardless, I'll get it poppin soon enough. Til then you'll hear from me whenever I get a chance to write b/w my clearly ridiculous schedule & my turmultuous personal life...and when i can pick up a wireless connection :) I'll be back on track soon.

However, the show must go on! Tonight is the debut of our brand spankin new Sunday night residency at LOBBY! I spin there on Wednesdays from time to time, dope lil upscale spot in the Yorkville area of Toronto. All of the bottle service booths sold out fassst which is usually a good indication that it's gonna be a great party. Plus, Lobby is basically ALL BOOTHS so ya, it'll be jammed.

The rest of the 4KORNERS week looks like this:

Wed - Raptors vs. Lakers
Thurs - Body English
Fri - Cheval

Then we start it allll over again. Will also be hitting Calgary in a couple weeks, then back to Europe (Belgium, France, Holland & Czech Republic) in late Feb / early March. Doing 6-8 performances a week can take it's toll, but I'm not complaining one bit. Just working hard to get where we want to go, sky's the limit. Don't worry, I have been taking the time to smell the roses... they're pretty sweet at times.

I'm rambling now, so on that note... i'm outttt!

FROM T-PAIN TO REIGN!!!!

Soooooooo last night was WILD!

We did the Official LIL WAYE / T-PAIN concert afterparty and it was B-A-N-A-N-A-S! T-PAIN jumped on the wheels & did almost a 2 hours set with us. I'm still semi-blinded from the camera flashes lol. And the worst part....our good people at OAKLEY (our brand spankin new sunglasses sponsor...sweet!) sent us a couple pairs of T-PAIN OAKLEY SIGNATURE SHADES, and I kinda lost mine early in the night! DAMMIT!!!! Would have come in so handy with all that light in my eyes! HOWEVER, oddly enough, one of the bouncers found them, in perfect condition, and gave them back to me at the end of teh night. WEIRD! But all's well that ends well, and i got my shades! Was a lil too hectic for us to take pics, but we had our photographer YOUSUF from YOUSUFPHOTO.com in the spot doing what he does best. I'll post the pics as soon as I get them. Good timessss!

2NITE!!!!! We return to our biweekly Friday home, REIGN NIGHTCUB!!!! Really looking forward to it, we always have a blast & the crowd / energy in that spot are amazing! And they make the dopest flyers for us...yeah baby! COME PARTY WITH US!!!!

Since leaving our Saturday night residency at The Guvernment at the end of last summer, we made it very clear to ourselves & all promoters that we're are not at all interested in taking another Saturday night residency. It felt ending a long-term relationship...not exactly in a rush to jump back into any kind of commitments. HOWEVER....as I learned in life time & time again, things don't always go according to plan, and never say never!

Every now & then, Life throws you a curveball which can alter your plans drastically. Using the same analogy as b4, it now feels as though we've come across a new individual who is just cool enough, sexy enough & wayyy too hawt sauce to resist. Enough to make us think twice about not wanting a commitment. That individual is CIRCA NIGHTCLUB!

Heyyyy,

I've never been one for awards, but it is a good feeling to be recognized by your peers. I'm saying this because last night we won our 2nd DJ award this year. If you remember, in the summer we won 2008 CANADIAN CLUB DJ of the YEAR at the Stylus DJ Awards. I'm gonna be honest and say I did NOT expect to win that award. But we did and everyone, both in & out of the biz, all congratulated us on some "You guys deserve this" tip, which was mad cool.

Aaaanyway, last night the TORONTO NIGHTCLUB AWARDS took place and we were fortunate enough to take home the title of 2008 BEST TORONTO DJ (Urban). Cool beans! I've said it again & again, we DO NOT consider ourselves to be "Urban" DJs, but considering the other category was BEST HOUSE DJ, it only makes sense that we'd be lumped into the Urban category.

All in all, we're thankful to all that voted, all who support & encourage us in what we do, everyone who's helped us along the way directly or indirectly and I'd personally like to thank my partner Short Sirkit for going every step of the way with me on this journey. It's not always easy, but we are extremely passionate about what we do, put in ALOT of hours and always focus on improvement. He pushes me just as much as I push him, and that's why it works.

We don't do what we do to win awards, but we are definitely appreciative of the acknowledgment.

On another note, last night we played a private/invite only industry event at Berkley Church, and it was absolutely OFF THE HOOOOOOK!!!! Probably the best suited DJ Line-up for such an event in Toronto, 4KORNERS & DJ UNDERCOVER (aka The INCREDIBLES) on 4 turntables, Manzone & Strong & our boy Marko Bongo!!!! INSANITY!!!! Didn't have time to take any pics b/c it was so hectic (plus we had to rush straight there from the Raptors / Nets game...which we lost....grrrr) to the club so there was very little time to breathe much less take pics. There were tons of cameras flashing though, so when I find some pics, I'll post them.

So....

The homie DJ PSAR has been in town all week, and since we ROCKED the spot called ROCKWOOD on Monday, I've been playing the role of tour guide, showing him around T.O by day & by night. We've been club hopping, eating good food & yesterday we went up the CN TOWER which I hardly EVERRRR do! It's funny how much we all take things for granted. One of the world's most amazing buildings, the symbol of our beloved T-Dot, which most of us see at least a couple times a week, and we never really take advantage until we have out-of-towners to show around. All I can say is...DOPE!!!! I HEART T.O!

On another note, BIG SHOUTS to the one called BUSTA RHYMES! Wazzappp!

Today I took kind of a lil sabbatical / "personal day". It's 7:45pm and I'm on the computer for the 1st time all day. (I have been on the damn Blackberry though...fakkk!) Due to the live I lead, I'm constantly fielding questions like "When do you ever sleep?" and "Do you ever take a break?" etc etc. The answer is, you're absolutely right. It's tiring, but I love what I do and have so many more personal goals to reach that I sometimes don't realize how hard I'm pushing myself. I'll survive. I'm just a bit too ambitious for my own good I guess.

That said, today was one of those days that I decided to curl up on the couch with my blanket & veg. Watched a bit of TV, and let the TV watch me sleep. Didn't even play any ROCK BAND. I' still a lil tired now, but after a stretch of 12 days with 12 shows in 5 cities (3 provinces), I think I deserve a lil breather. Might just take another one tomorrow. In fact, I technically don't work again until Sunday, which is AWESOME! I have tons of things to do b/w now & then, but I'll get them done at my chosen pace. Enough rambling about my pathetic little fatigue issues. Here's what we've been up to!

When last we spoke I'd just returned from GREY CUP WEEKEND in Montreal. Since then we (Short Sirkit & I) have done a few Raptors games, a few corporate events, and clubs in Toronto, London & Calgary! The AWESOMEST as always was OPUS in Calgary aka CAL-CUN! Here are some pics!

Prime timessss! Last night we did it up at ROCKWOOD w/ our special guest & homie from Belgium, DJ PSAR! If you don't know him yet, you're not paying attention! This was his only Toronto date on this Canadian tour, and he ripped it up and made me proud like he always does! Peep it!

This party was also the birthday celebration for my good friend, soon to be super model JILLIAN ELLE, and was hosted by PAGE of Smoke & Mirrors Records! The dude has some fire! Here's his video for the track "BALLIN IS MY HOBBY" Check him out. He also has a CRAZY track w/ DRAKE called "I"M STILL FLY"> I pretty much play this track every party that I spin. DOPENESS! On a personal note, taking time out from m busy schedule always gives me time to think, evaluate & figure out my next moves, in life, love & business. Today I'm feeling the sting of various bad choices I've made over the years. No regrets really, (well maybe some regrets) but I was once told that the choices that we make, both good & bad, have led us to where we are today. And despite my wishing that I'd made a few different choices along my path, I can honestly say that I'm somewhat okay with where I am. I'm grateful for all that I am and that I've accomplished, and things could be a whole lot worse. But still i yearn for a deeper sense of satisfaction. Hopefully I'll get there....

WHAT A WEEKEND!!!!

So we missed probably the most exciting NBA game of the season thus far b/w our RAPTORS & the damn New Jersey Nets. Kinda glad we weren't there to see Vince shit on us once again. FAKK!!!! I feel like he only puts any effort forth when he's playing against us, and just coasts the rest of the time, all season, every season....FAKKKKK!!!!

HOWEVER, we missed the game for a good cause. Spinning at the MAXIM GREY CUP PLAYERS PARTY in Montreal! This was the 2nd year MAXIM has done a Grey Cup party, and they called 4K back to do it again after we nearly toppled the CN Tower over during last years' party. Ya, it was THAT nutz! This year it was held at Montreal's JUST FOR LAUGHS MUSEUM! Wicked venue, not quite as awesome as CN Tower, but dope enough for a great party!

Open bar, TONS of food, multiple lounge areas, a mini football field, Nintendo Wii games and le piece de resistance....ROCK BAND on a GIGANTIC SCREEN!!!!! Oh ya, and 4KORNERS tore up the party alongside our good MTL homie DJ PSYCHOLOGY! Btw...DJ Psychology + 4KORNERS = PSYCHO 4ORCE!!!! Watch out!!!! BIG SHOUTS to Stacey & the entire staff for putting on such a SMASHTASTIC event!

That was Friday. Saturday night we slept allllllllll day, went to dinner with our homegirl / Eastern Canada booking agent Sharon at OM, one of my fav restaurants, then did a lil club hop! Went to see teh homie STARTING FROM SCRATCH rip it up at the Scotiabank Pro Players Party, then over to TOKYO BAR to rock it with Psychology one more time. I was wayyyy hammered, so Shorts just rocked the mic for a bit & that was that.

No time for sleep, we caught the 6:30am flight back to Toronto, changed clothes & headed down to the ACC to spin the RAPTORS vs. Celtics game...which our Raps lost HARD :( Sighhhhh, gotta get it together!

Tonight's ROCKWOOD, and we have yet another busy week ahead with shows in London, Toronto & Calgary 3 days back to back to back, and we end it off with the annual Town Shoes corporate Christmas party on Sunday (our 5th or 6th year doing it...can't remember)

Heyyyyyy,

1st of all, I'm feeling MUCH better, thx to all who hollered at me with kind & concerned words as well as get well soon tips lol. I had a vicious cold or flu or something last week, but it seems to have run it's course. Didn't even have time to make it to the doctor, what with all the work I've been doing. Terrible, I know, health should come 1st. BUT Thankfully we had Saturday off and I used it wisely, in bed & on my couch.

That said, and despite my being under the weather, last week was AWESOME! Our debut week on Z103.5's Drive At 5 Street Mix was a SMASHEROO! Make sure you continue to tune in every day this week til Friday to hear more 4K FIRE! Also, REIGN Nightclub was RISTUPIDICULICIOUS!!!! (That means good). Today's the day that American's decide if they are ready for a Black president. I'm not only in favor of Barack Obama because he is Black, however I'm not going to lie and say it isn't a factor. But what he has been preaching is the truth. "Old Politics" have been done to death, and have failed. It's a new day, and you can;t keep doing the same things over & over expecting new results in this ever changing world. And what better way to symbolize that change than a Black President. Historically, Black people were brought to America as slaves & treated as lesser members of society for hundreds of years. The Civil Rights Movement occurred less than 50 years ago, and racism still lives on. But it's time for change.

I don't believe that Barack Obama is going to solve all of the world's problems, or even all of America's problems. I do however believe that if he follows through on his promises, he will be taking things in the right direction for future generations to continue on with. I read an interesting line today....

"Rosa Parks SAT so that Martin Luther King Jr could MARCH. Martin MARCHED so that Barack Obama could RUN!"

Each individual that makes a positive change helps pave the way for the next. I'm watching the poll coverage on CNN right now, and he's winning. This actually might happen. This is history!

Beyond work, things are pretty ok. Been taking time b/w my stoopid crazy schedule to get my head straight & look ahead to 2K9. Trying to evaluate things and figure out my next 10 moves (in order to stay ahead of the pack). I think it's important to do a self check every now & then. Keeps us grounded, focussed & helps us make wise decisions. I continue to make mistakes daily, as most of us do, but I do my best to learn from them. That's just me, you do what works for you. It has been an exceptionally BUSY ASS week for me, not that every week isn't busy, but since I'm not only the DJ, I'm also our manager, booking agent, marketing manager, producer, stylist, and web promo guy. SIGHHH, Wtf does Short Sirkit do??? lol I keeed. He's the MC, Public Relations, Street Promo & Sales Agent, plus he still holds down a part-time day job. Lots to do for 2 peeps, thank God for Blackberries. Not sure why I went into such depth there...what was my point again...? Oh yes, busy week, right right. Okkkkkk!!!!

1 week, 6 shows & 1 new laptop later, we're back from our recent West Coast Tour! How was it? A BLAST as always! All the shows were awesome, and i didn't throw up once (well, I had a Tequila incedent in Vancouver & almost did, but I held it down..literally!) Yayyy me!

I DID however have to buy a new laptop during the trip b/c some stoopid BEP in Calgary spilled a lil Rum & Coke on my keyboard. FAKK! I got a good deal on a newer, better Macbook Pro than the one I already had, plus the old one is fixable, so it's all good. Drunk girls wilding out in the DJ Booth is just another occupational hazard that I've had to get used to dealing with :p

I did the last 2 tour dates in BC solo while Shorts came home to host parties at Body English & Reign Nightclub. We joined forces once again Saturday night in Toronto for our debut at CIRCA Nightclub. It was NUTZZZZ!!!!!! Big shouts to LYME PRODUCTIONS & The CONNECKTED DJs as well as BONGO MEDIA on hand filming the event. It was epic!

Hey people,

Just taking a quick studio break to check in & continue the streak of good consistent blogging! Right now I'm in the midst of recording my 3rd annual MUCHMUSIC Compilation album, MUCH Dance 2009! Most of you probably don't know that I do these, but ya...i do. Kinda cheesey, I know..but it's a VERY good look business wise. I mean, how many other DJs in Canada can say they've mixed a platinum selling compilation?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone,

I'm not one for politics, but it seems we're coming to a pivotal time in history and I can't help but pay close attention. Both the Canadian & American federal elections are about to go down & it's mui mui importante that we all VOTE! Although our election is always important, I feel like the upcoming US federal election is probably their most important election EVER! If BARACK OBAMA is elected, and it seems like a VERY strong possibility, it will be the beginning of a new era in politics. NOT just because he is a Black man, but because he is a man for change. A true man of the people. But YES, it IS also important because he just might be the 1st Black president. It was not that long ago that black people didn't even have the right to vote that country, and now look. It will be interesting to see what happens, and we all know that American federal politics largely affects not only Canadians, but world politics on a whole. They've done an excellent job of making it that way.

So AMERICANS....you go vote too!

Of course, there's a musical tie-in to all this. No I'm not going to post a video of me singing some kind of "Go Vote" song. Here's a mix done by DJ Z-TRIP that is a very interesting listen. DAMMIT!!!!

So me & my homie from Belgium DJ PSAR were talking the other day about this mixtape collabo we've been planning to do together for a while now. We've FINALLY decided that we're gonna drop it this November as he'll be doing a Canadian Tour (his 3rd this year...awww yeahhh) and we (4KORNERS) will be doing another overseas tour as well (World Tour this time...not just Europe). Sooooo timing seems perfect to release the CD at that time. We decided to name the CD "ACROSS THE UNIVERSE" based on the fact that together we're touring all over the the planet and also it's the name of a classic BEATLES song & also the title of a Beatles based movie I recently saw by the same title "ACROSS THE UNIVERSE" (Note: It's a musical, and oddly enough, I hate musicals...just talk...why u gotta break into song about shit?...however I HIGHLY recommend this one. SOOO DOPE!) Skip ahead, skip ahead, yadda yadda yadda....we can't call it that b/c I TOTALLY forgot that JUSTICE, one of my favorite DJ/producer teams from France, is releasing a documentary DVD called "A CROSS THE UNIVERSE" and also doing a world tour by that same name. Needless to say, I'd feel like a biter if we did it now, cuz they did it first. So I repeat....DAMMIT!!!!

I've had enough of people asking me to play "Boom boom boom & take your money!" So I figure it's time I kick some knowledge for the benefit of those who just don't know any better. I'm not implying that anyone is dumb. I'm just saying, here's the info, take it & do what you will with it.

To start, her name is M.I.A. and she's not a new artist. She's been doing her thing for a few years now. The song that you all know and love NOW is called PAPER PLANES. It's from her 2nd full length album called KALA which was released in 2007 on XL Recordings. YESSSS, 2007! And yes, I have indeed been playing that song along with a few others for over a year now, plus I've been playing songs from her 1st album ARULAR which came out in 2005 for the past 3 years. YES INDEED!!!!

It is that Time of year once again when your boys 4KORNERS step into the arena and resume our Stadium Status as official DJs of the TORONTO RAPTORS! Am I stoked???? HELL YA I WANT CHEESY POOFS!!!!

If you know us, you know that we loved basketball LONG before we got the Raptors gig, so entering our 4th season with the team is definitely a beautiful thing! What's even sweeter is, we have a 3rd jersey this year, and it's BLACK! (Pictured above being worn by Raptors All-Star, Chris "CB4" Bosh!

We're hoping for this to be a BIG season, with the addition of some key elements, most notably JERMAINE O'NEIL! Time will tell how it'll all play out, but we definitely have high hopes.

The Raptors already won their 1st pre-season game, but TONIGHT is our 1st home game, and that means 4KORNERS MUSIC! We spin at & host all Raptors home games inside the Air Canada Centre, if you didn't know. We're also super stoked about the game we'll be doing in Edmonton, Alberta on Tuesday October 21st inside Edmonton's Rexall Place! It's gonna me massive!

NEW HAWTNESS: The Ting Tings

Greetings people,

It's been a while since I've dropped some music knowledge on y'all, so here it is. This is a group that I'm REALLY FEELING right now, hailing from Salford in the UK. (Note: If u click on all my links, my blog posts are even MORE educational than you think ;);) ) They're name, THE TING TINGS. The band consists of 2 members, Jules De Martino (drums, guitar, vocals) and Katie White (vocals, guitar, bass drum).

I'll admit, I didn't quite discover them until they just a few months ago, but I feel like I should have known about them from jump. SOOOO much music, so little time, soooo I figured I'd share them with all of you, b/c I know not every knows about them yet. DOing my lil part to support what I feel is GOOD MUSIC. Anyway, they have a great following overseas & is rapidly building over here in North America. Their vibe is kinda indie rock / pop type music and the electronic scene has taken a great liking to them, with some hot producers remixing some of their tracks for the clubs.

Rather than me rant and rave about how much I love this band, I'll let u meet them out for yourself & form your own opinion. Let me BE CLEAR on this....he he....when I post my thoughts & opinions, I'm merely sharing what I feel. I urge all of you to take in whatever info you receive, whether from me or anywhere else, and form YOUR OWN OPINION on it. It's ot good just b/c I say it's good. Well....it is...but at least decide to like it b/c you like it, not b/c i told u that you should like it. Be a Shepherd, not a Sheep (aka a leader, not a follower).

That said, (fakk...why am I being so preachy lately....Do I really have THAT much of a problem with the Status Quo and the nature of humans?....i digress lol)....ok ok, I totally dig the entire album "WE STARTED NOTHING" but the cuts that I've been specifically dropping in the clubs are:

- Shut Up & Let Me Go

....all of which I have DOPE remixes of. BIG shouts to the homie KLEVER from Atlanta who 1st introduced me to The Ting Tings by playing the Calvin Harris rmx of Great DJ. SICKKKKKKK track!

Communication Is Key!

What's going on people,

I'm just stopping in to write a quick note about business. I know our job looks like basically one big party after another, and it seems like my biggest worry is whether or not I'll drink too much and end up with my head in the toilet at the end of the night, but I'm here to tell you that there's much MUCH more to what we do than you may think.

The club business is exactly that, A BUSINESS! A big money business at that. And as such, there is a fair bit of Politics & Bullshit that we have to deal with. I'll admit, we've been fortunate enough not to have run into any super major roadblocks, but shit has definitely hit the fan a few times in our day. Paying your dues, rolling with the punches and countless other cliches definitely apply. I realize that I'm rambling at this point, but trust me, there's always a method to my madness.

This is an open message to ALL who are involved in the club business, and in business in general. It actually applies pretty much to all aspects of life. BE CLEAR!!!!! That's it. Simple and plain. BE CLEAR!!!! Comminication is KEY! Too many people dodge dealing with issues, are afraid to say what they really mean and/or what really needs to be said. Things would run so much more smoothly in this world if everyone would just SPIT! Say what you mean, even if you know the receiver of your message is not gonna like it. I've learned in my time on this planet that you can't please everyone all the time. Sometimes people are simply not going to like what you have to say, but alot of the time, these things need to be said. So just SPIT! I, by nature, am a straight talker. I'm not saying that I've never lied, or been dishonest, nobody's perfect. But I generally don't have any trouble saying what I mean. I may come off rude or insensitive at times, i understand, but at least its the real deal. You may not like what I have to say always, but you will definitely respect the fact that I have the balls to say it. I'm a hard-ass, ESPECIALLY when it comes to business. Most of us are working towards common goals in the club biz. Have fun, make a difference, make some loot, meet interesting people, travel the world, get home safe. If we are all clear with each other, we can all reach these goals more often than not.

My apologies for the rant, I just had to vent. Had some interesting issues last night. Again, our lives & jobs may seem like it's all fun & games (don't get me wrong, it's AWESOME, we love it & that's why we do it) but there's more to it than meets the eye.

Ooooookaaayyyyy!!!!!

Back in effect & back to blogging (my own "non-jacked" version that is....). So we've been on the road again these past few weeks. Here's how it went down:

Edmonton
Yes...again! We headed west to do a show at our E-Town residency, Diesel Ultra Lounge. The show was BANANAS, I drank an entire bottle of Grey Goose, and I didn't end the night with my head in the toilet. BONUS! That was Friday. Saturday we attended our good homie's wedding & reception. I was supposed to spin a set, but we got to drinkin, stopped thinkin, and I'm not quite sure why I never ended up behind the decks. (I'm REALLY NOT as much of an alcoholic as it may seem, but my better stories always seem to involve drinking....go figure :p) Good times had by all! After all that, we flew back just in time to head straight to Century Room to spin again.

Home (temporarily)
Was only home for 3 days b4 heading back on the road, but I made GREAT use of that time. Spun another AWESOME set at Rockwood on Monday (where Toronto Raptors homies Chris Bosh, Joey Graham & Chris Humphries all showed up to party), chilled out & watched a CALIFORNICATION Marathon (my new favorite show) on Tuesday, and on Wednesday I went to see SANTOGOLD perform alongside some dope new acts LOW VS DIAMOND, and LET'S GO TO WAR. PLUS A-TRAK did a surprise DJ set. WICKED WICKED show! Thurs, off to....

Winnipeg
Actually, Shorts & I flew into Winnipeg, but then were drivin directly to Brandon, Manitoba by our new homie DJ IIIzERO (that's 3-Zero) where we did a show at a spot called Houston's. Pretty damn country if I do say so myself...and I definitely do! Want another drinking story? Countless double screwdrivers, 2 McDonald's Bibs & yes...my head in the toilet. Uggghhh!

Next day we headed back to Winnipeg, went to the Bluebombers Game (Errol's 1st CFL game experience), and the tore a whole in VIBE NIGHTCLUB! Big shouts to Bobby The Coach and of course Paxton! Also big shouts to FORT APPAREL who hooked us up with some dope gear, which we rocked at this show.

On Saturday we had the pleasure of eating at one of our favorite restaurants, OLIVE GARDEN!!!! Yes they still have OG in Manitoba, and other provinces...just no more Ontario locations :( After that, we did it up inside BLUSH ULTRALOUNGE. What an awesome venue! They ate our shit up (not literally) & we'll definitely be back there! GIGANTIC SHOUTS to our homie FIN-S who orchestrated this 3 day adventure!

Sunday....back home once again to Century Room....but not without a hitch. Our 9am flight to Toronto was cancelled at the last minute, so we had to wait til 3pm for the next one. Spent the entire day in the airport. WEAK SAUCE!

Monday, ROCKWOOD again w/ a drop in by SHAE from N.E.R.D (no Pharrell....sucks, I know), along with Fam Lay from the Star Trak camp, Common's DJ (DJ Dummy) and some more of their peeps. Was an INSANE party as always.

This week is mad busy so prob won't hear back from me until next week. And guess what...RAPTORS PRE-SEASON starts in exactly 1 WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coming up, got another road trip out West with stops in Red Deer, Edmonton (incl Raptors Pre-Season game at Rexall Place) & Calgary. Then Shorts will be heading home while I head to New Westminster & Vancouver for a couple solo shows!

Yessss people,

I'm not gonna apologize for not blogging in a while...come on, who are we fooling. It's gonna happen again lol. But i'm here now & I got something to tell you. A bunch of stuff actually. Like to hear it/ Here it go!

So Last time i wrote, Shorts & I were about to head out West for another tour. It was AWESOME except for teh fact that I was fighting a SERIOUS head cold for most of the trip. Weak Sauce SUPREME! But, the show must go on & we still ripped up every show as we always do. By the time we got to Calgary I was back to about 95% and proceeded to get crazy with the champagne, like I always do. Apparently, I sprayed a full bottle of bubbly directly into some girls' face. Ooops :)

We got back to Toronto just in time for the TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, which is kind of a big deal. Our biggest party for the week was a huge shindig called the eTalk Festival Party, which was held in teh entire Muchmusic / CTV building, including the red carpet/stage that was built in the parking lot. We spun on the red carpet while the stars posed for pics, and DIDDY performed. BIG TINGS! Afterwards, we moved up to the 3rd floor where we ripped up the decks alongside Samantha Ronson, while her girlfriend Lindsay Lohan chilled out in the DJ booth with us. Was a nutzo party to say the least. 5000 peeps, nationally televised, the whole 9. Btw, that's us & Samantha in the pic above.

Another BIG announcement is.....we are no longer residents at Spin Saturdays at The Guvernment. Long story short, we were moved from D'Luxe Lounge to the bigger Orange Room and sold on the fact that we would NOT have to play 100% crunk & reggae all night, which we will not do. However, 6 months later, the powers that be have decided they would like it to be a basement jam, and since we won't do it, we had to part ways. As I said in the title, all things happen for a reason & we're not at all chocked about the situation. We were unhappy and now we're free. So expect to see 4K ALLLL over the place on Saturdays in the coming weeks. Only part we'll miss is being on Z103.5 every saturday night, however...stay tuned...some things are in the works ;)

What's next?

This weekend we wrap up Film Fest, next week we're in Edmonton, the following we're in Winnipeg, and lots more to come.

I'll jump on again within the next few days and post some tour pics, vids from the eTalk party and our upcoming schedule.

Ok, so we tour ALOT, especially during the summer months. But we've been here at home in our lovely city of Toronto since we got back from our European tour in July. Approx 5 weeks ago. I love my city, but i must admit, I'm starting to go a lil crazy here. I've gotten so accustomed to traveling, that when I'm grounded for too long I start to lose it.

THANKFULLY we'll be hitting the road again next week for one of our regular West Coast Canadian Tours! YAYYYYY!!!! Here's the sched:

What a week!

I truly am baffled sometimes at the WIDE range of events that we do. In the same week I DJ'd a party with 3000+ people and Rick Ross on the mic, and just a few days later, a party with 300 people and the Backstreet Boys in attendance lol. WEIRRRRD! But I think it's very cool. We've always been diverse but a couple years ago we specifically set out to make this very clear as a part of our marketing plan, and it appears to have worked. SCORE!

Up next! We have a couple more weeks of events here in Toronto, then we'll be hitting our beloved West Coast once again, this time touching down in Vancouver & Victoria BC as well as Grande Prairie & Calgary (Cal-Cun) AB. We're even gonna take a trip up to Whistler on our day off to hang with the homies. Looking fwd to some supremely Prime Timesssssss!

Last night, the homies KLEEN MEDIA threw a "Welcome Back To Rockwood" party for me at my weekly Monday night residency in Toronto. It was my first night back after the Euro Tour. It's probably my favorite weekly party as the vibe, crowd & size are all just right. Tons of celebs have come thru as well, and last night we were graced with the presence of one of my favorite MC's, NAS! I guess my job is pretty DOOOO THISSSS!

Europe was AMAZINGAAAA!!!!! But I must say that I'm glad to be home from tour. Why?

1) Everyone here speaks ENGLISH!

2) Sleeping in my own bed, driving my own car etc....

3) I missed my fam & friends

4) HOME COOKED MEALS

5) Looking forward to getting back to my regular club spots!

Being away truly makes u apprerciate being home. Andddd soon enough, being home makes you appreciate life on the road lol. We'll be home for the next few weeks, but in August....WEST COAST HERE WE COME!!!!

People, people, people!

To fully describe the past 3 days would take ALOT more than I have time to write, so you're getting the condensed version!

Napoli:

As I told u b4, the city is AWESOME! The hotel/resort we stayed at was AWESOME! The beach party...AWESOME!!!!! Imagine partying on a beach in the south of Italy to the sounds of a drunk ass DJ crew by the name of 4KORNERS! AND I lost my shirt! It gets no better :) The next day we slept til about 4pm, then headed to ROME. Pretty much teh only thing that sucked was the 5am pizza stand the basically served us dough with tomato paste & a small circle of cheese on top. WORST PIZZA EVERRRRR, but being hammered & hungry at 5am with no other options, i totally ate 2 slices lol. BIG SHOUTS to K*Blast, Andrew, DJ Carmela, the entire REAL SOUND PROJECT and everyone who we met in Napoli.

Rome:

So Friday afternoon we took the train to Rome & met up with our new homie Karima who took EXCELLENT care of us, despite the fact that she had a wedding to go to teh next day AND exams to study for. Kari, you're awesome! We saw the COLLOSSEUM, ate a great Italian meal, met up with some of her peeps at CAMPO DE FIORE , ate THE BEST ICE CREAM EVER and went to a few parties. NO we didn't end up playing in ROME due to some very VERY bad timing, but we'll definitely be back to DOOOO THISSSS next time we're back in Europe, which might be December as a few clubs have already made offers :) We ended up at a spot called NICE which was sickkkk!!!!! Big shouts to Black Solo, DJ Coco, Serge, Henry & the whole squad! And again, a GIGANTIC shout & thank you to Karima!

Paris:

Back again in Paris, France, but this time we had a lil more time to spend than our last visit. Rocked the house at GIBUS CLUB alongside resident DJ KISS and got a chance to hang out with our homie BIG JOURVIL, who is absolutely THE BEST! Love that guy (no homo). Also met his roomate "Jeweler's Son" who is pretty awesome himself lol. BIG SHOUTS all around & a very special shout goes to our new homie JENN & her sour cousin Caroline who we met at the club & were soooo glad to hear they were from Montreal :) Jenn spoke perfect english which was SOOOO refreshing after almost a week of playing CHARADES with people across Europe, trying to make them understand what I'm saying (Hands...tired... :p)

And that brings us today. We spent site seeing in Paris. Saw the EIFFEL TOWER again, but this time we also strolled up the CHAMPS ELYSEES, where i bought the absolute ILLEST Air Jordan Spizikes EVERRRR! (Thank you Nike Paris). We say ARC DE TRIOMPHE and the CATHEDRAL DE NOTRE DAME. Basically the BIG 3 of French monuments. (DAMN my blog is educational lol). After that, we hit the tracks back ro Brussels where we are now.

About to get ready to go out & party on our last night off here in Europe, as tomorrow we make our return to CARRE in Antwerp.

Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

So Florence....well, we had some issues. BEAUTIFUL city, AWESOME club....and that's about it. Long story short, the promoter didn't take charge when he needed to, the drunker Ying Yang Twin decide he & his DJ would play basically ALL teh hit somgs out right now after they finished performing, and I was left doing a 35 minute set at the END of the night after lots of people had already left. WEAKSAUCE!!!! Needless to say, I gave the promoter a sharp verbal lashing & he apologized a million times to no avail. *Note...you DO NOT want to be on my bad side. I remained professional, but made him understand just how badly he fucked up. He wants to book us again but....we'll see.

Conversely, we arrived in NAPOLI today & it is AMAZINGGGGAAAAA!!!! Right on the coast of the Mediteranean Sea. Our new homie K BLAST has been taking excellent care of us and i'm just here doing a quick blog b4 we hit the club. BEACH PARTY!!!!! That's the flyer up above.

Good Morn-eee-in!

Bonjour once again from Brussels, Belgium.

It's 12:52pm here (6:52am Toronto time) and I'm wide awake. Not sure if it's because I'm FINALLY adjusted to the 6 hour time difference, or b/c I'm so used to getting up early at home regardless. Shorts (Errol) on the other hand is snoring down the place as we speak. Btw, the pic above was taken on our way back from DA SHAKE on Saturday night....a typical scene after the club. People jam from 10pm to 6am-ish here, sometimes later. NUTZO!

I figured I'd drop in a quick post to stay in touch & let u know what's up, as I promised I would do. This is proof that when on tour, I have wayyyy more spare time to do this kind of thing. However, I have also realized that it doesn't have to take THAT much time, and I can still figure out a way to post regularly when I get back. I'll do my best :) BIG SHOUTS to all of you who'd sent me txt msgs letting me know that you've been reading along & enjoying living vicariously through us on this journey. Believe me when I say we're just getting started.

We hit Italy for the 1st time tomorrow and don't quite know what ti expect. The promoters over there are making a pretty big deal about us coming & keep writing me on MYSPACE telling us how crazy it's gonna be. I'm pretty STOKED about it and can't wait to get there. Basketball in Italy is bigger than it's ever been, and with us being the Official DJs of the Toronto Raptors, compounded by italian baller Andrea Bargnani being on our team, the hype leading up to these shows is pretty BIG.

And speaking of basketball, and BIG, here's a clip of BIG SHAQ aka SHAQ FU aka Shaquille O'Neal freestyling recently at a New York nightclub about.....well...see for yourself. HOWEVZ, keep in mind Shaq said himself afterwards that it was all in fun, nothing serious, and that people shouldn't make it a bigger deal than it is.

WOWWWWW :) And as a side note, for those who might not remember Shaq actually trying to have a legitimate career in music, here's how he got the name SHAQ-FU! (Remember the Fu-Shnickens?...peep the last verse)

Sooooo, last night we dropped the 4K bomb on a spot called DA SHAKE in Belgium alongside our good homie DJ PSAR. We also had our new homie FLAV with us, and the party was truly dope! Took it easy on the drinking this time & just went hard on the RED BULL (big shouts to Kenny Mac & Bobby back at Red Bull Canada...hollaatchaboysssss). About 15 Red Bulls later (collectively.....not all by myself :p) we destroyed the party, showing them the true meaning of DOOOO THISSSS!

After another long drive back to the hotel, Shorts and I DEMOLISHED the hotel breakfast buffet, then proceeded to sleep for about 10 hours straight. I think we're adjusted to teh time here now....almost...mehhh not even close! But we're still working on it.

What's next? Welll, unfortunately our show in Milan, Italy that was scheduled for 2nite was cancelled due to the club being shut down (that'll do it...). The timing on that is pretty weaksauce for us, but what can u do? Out of our hands. Soooooo instead we're going to hit up CARRE here in Belgum, which is the club that we'll be spinning at next Sunday July 13. Our homie RAYER, the promoter, heard about our Milan situation and invited us to come down & party, everything on him. SCORE! So i'll try not to end up with my head in the toilet 2night, but no promises lol.

Monday we also have the day off, and Tuesday we head to Florence to do a show with the YING YANG TWINS which should be a SHIT SHOW SUPREME! PS, the URBAN DICTIONARY RULESSS!!!!

I took lots of vids last night but the net connection here is slow and it's taking wayyyyyy too long to upload. SO NOT doooo thissss. I'll try again another time, perhaps when I have a lil more patience :)

Bonjour from Belgium!

Sooo we've arrived in Europe for our 3rd Euro Tour in 3 years. Life is goooood! 1st stop, BRUSSELS, BELGIUM! We met up with the homie DJ PSAR and immediately went for authentic BELGIAN WAFFLES!!!! We do it every time we come here...tradition lol. After that, we chilled out a bit til the casino open (at which we are members lol) and had some steak & belgian (don't call them french) fries.

Skip ahead skip ahead, yadda yadda yadda, we took a looooooong nap to try to adust to the 6 hour time difference, then headed down to FUN RADIO where we did an interview & spun a set to over 250,000 listeners across Belgium. Wow!

From there, we headed straight to the club. It was a private ALL WHITE party (noo...not all white people lol, white clothing!) It was DOPE!!!!!!! Tore it up, drank wayyyy too much Rum & Coke, smoked a lil sumthin sunthin, skip ahead, skip ahead, i made it back to the hotel just in time to stick my head in the toilet & enjoy those drinks again, but in reverse. Sexy ;)

Tonight, we're doing another show in Belgium, this time alongside our homie DJ PSAR. I promise I'll take it easy...er 2nite :)

BTW, the statue of the lil dude peeing is our good homie MENNEKEN PIS, the symbol of Belgium. Peep the link to read bout the legend of young pee pee boy! Quite intriguing, and definitely makes for some....interesting souvenirs :)

HERE WE GO AGAIN!

As some of you may know, we're leaving on a jet plane once again, about to embark on yet another European tour. EURO TOUR 3 actually, although I feel the need to come up with a better name than that. Perhaps i'll give it some thought on the 7 HOUR PLANE RIDE to Brussels :S

This time we'll be doing 4 shows across Belgium, 1 in France (Paris of course), and 4 across Italy. SOooooOOoooooo excited!

As long as I have access to the internet, i will be blogging at least every other day, letting u know what we've seen, done & what trouble we're getting into. Expect tons of pics & even some short video clips. YAYERRRR!!!!

Greetings y'all,

I'm writing from the nation's capital aka Cap City aka Ottawa, Ontario. It's Canada Day weekend so you know we had to stop in and help celebrate the absolute AWESOMENESS of our country. (There is no charge for awesomeness or attractiveness lol...Kung Fu Panda reference, for those who don't know :p) OF COURSE we're in Ottawa on Canada Day Long Weekend, c'maaaaan!

Anyway, we had an early flight so we basically didn't sleep last night after Body English (which was pretty damn dope last night btw). Our homie KID SL picked us up from the airport & dropped us at our hotel, where we ordered a SWEET room service breakfast feast, then passed out for a few hours. Thennnn we woke up and met with the homie DYLAN D to do a lil shopping (Big shouts to the hottest spot in Ottawa, NORMAL and our homie there IGOR aka IGGY SMALLS). We then got hipped to a spot where they sell $1 hot dogs!!!! 2 shirts, 1 pair of kicks & 10 hot dogs later, we're now back at the hotel chillin. Might check our dude ILLO a lil later for dinner, then we're gonna DOOO THISS at our Ottawa residency HELSINKI LOUNGE & DISCO!

So my daughter's on summer vacation as of this week, and I'm off on tour to Europe next week, so I'm doing what they call "Spending QUALITY time." Really, we're just hanging out liek we usually do, except she's with me all day errrday instead of just sometimes.

Took her to see KING FU PANDA today. I fell asleep (like I often do at movie theatres....dark & cozy, can't help it :p) From what I did see, it was a legendary tale of a legendary warrior, who's skills were the stuff of LEGEND!

She enjoyed it & i got a well needed nap.

YESSSSSS i knowwwww i knowwww, I said I would blog regularly and here I am a full month & change later. Booourns! That said, this is going to be a SUPER CONDENSED update of what we've been up to over the past 30-odd days.

Here's it goes:

- MONTREAL: played @ Orchid, got some REALLY good shopping done, hung out with some good homies and discovered wine & cheese.

- CALGARY: NBA 3on3 got rained out (but we still get paid..score!), met a new member of the extended DJ fam DJ SPRYTE, played OPUS, drank a full bottle of champagne (and various other beverages...damn i was thirsty lol), and lost my shirt AGAIN!

TORONTO: Played prob the BEST BOAT CRUISE EVER, residencies all going great, won the Stylus award for CANADIAN CLUB DJ of the YEAR, packed up & headed West!

WHISTLER: Did the drive from Vancouver to Whistler and back twice in order to play 2 parties, got hammered, met a Playboy Bunny, saw a bear and watched DJ Tanner break furniture in blind drunken musical excitement (fuk yo couch!).

VANCOUVER: Did a lil shopping, alot of eating, NBA 3on3, played PLUSH, appeared on THE BEAT radio, hung out with our doods FACTION SOUND CREW & our overseas homie DJ PSAR from Belgium, enjoyed some well deserved down time!

CALGARY...again: Enjoyed some Alberta Beef, destroyed OPUS again, invented Purple Crush, kept my shirt on this time :)

EDMONTON: Played back to back nights at EMPIRE BALLROOM, appeared on THE BOUNCE radio, NBA 3on3, hung out at West Edmonton Mall...briefly, did some shopping at FOOSH, went to a Filipino BBQ, bumped into the homies ILLO, JR FLO & FIRE KID STEENIE, flew home just in time to get to the MUCHMUSIC AWARDS AFTERPARTY 20 mins late :)

TORONTO: Played the MMVA Afterparty @ ULTRA SUPPER CLUB alongside STEVE AOKI (Brody Jenner is a big T.I. fan), Shorts hosted at Century Room alongside the homie DJ UNDERCOVER, slept in my own bed :)

LONDON (Ontario lol): NBA 3on3 2 days in a row, with drives to T.O. in between...sooo tiring...Shorts got a speeding ticket (cop was a PRICk...surprise surprise)

AND....that pretty much brings us up to date.

But enough talk...will post some pics real soon. Maybe today or tomorrow...promise...pinky swear :)

So I have good news and bad news.

Good News:
I think I found a way to write blogs directly from my blackberry, which means I can stay on top of this a lil better when I'm on the go (which is pretty much alllllways)

Bad News:
I'm currently writing this blog via Blackberry from the airport in Montreal while waiting for the next flight home, because we missed our scheduled flight. Suckkkyyyy!

To fill u in, we played at ORCHID Nightclub in Montreal last night. Its the club's 6 Year Anniversary weekend, and as such, we were part of the celebration's line-up which also includes our homie DJ Wristpect 2nite, Kid Capri 2morrow & Rihanna hosting the party on Tuesday. Good shyt!
We also got a chance to hang out with our doood DJ Psychology as well as some other friends, get drunk at lunch and of course go SHOPPING!

Soon time we'll be headed back to T.O to spin our 1st Live-To-Air episode on GUV RADI0. We're now on every Saturday night on Z103.5 FM broadcast from The Guvernment Entertainment Complex from 10pm-1am. Our slot is 10-11pm. Sooo PUMPED! The Beat Goes On

OooooooK...so the Raptors lost & are out of the playoffs. It was a slightly disappointing season compared to last year, as we had hope to move forward & not take any steps back. But hey, it's the NBA, it's a tough road & now the organization has to re-evaluate & perhaps makes some moves to improve the team's chances for next year.

BIG THANKS to the guys for playing hard, to the entire Raps organization and of course to the fans for all their support. This was our 3rd year as OFFICIAL DJS of the TORONTO RAPTORS, and it's still a dream job. Looking fwd to next season!

SOOOOO.... as I predicted, MY Raptors we're victorious on Thursday night as we CRUSHED the magic in front of our home town fans. 20,000 strong wearing read & making it a very hostile environment for Dwight Howard (especially) and the rest of his team.

BUT THEN.... we go & let the following game on Saturday slip away. How wack is that???? Now our backs are up against the wall & we need 3 wins in a row to stay alive. Possible, but will be tough.

I'm gonna go out on a limb & once again predict a Raptors victory this coming Monday in Orlando! LET'S GOOOOO RAPTORSSS!!!!!!
